our NAG
The
Bampton, Carterton & Burford Neighbourhood Action Group was
formulated in 2005, It consists of community members from Bampton,
Carterton & Burford as well as representatives from Cottsway
Housing, the Community Safety Partnership, Thames Valley Police, OCC
Youth Service and RAF Brize Norton. Our mission is to make our
community a safer place to live, work and visit.

The
Neighbourhood Action Group is committed to tackling the issues raised
by our communities in order to reduce crime, disorder and fear. It is a
problem solving group consisting of representatives from the
communities centred around the Bampton, Carterton & Burford
geographical areas, as well as members of the town and district
councils and Thames Valley Police. The group's responsibilities are
varied and include the following:
1. To consider the audit of crime and disorder.
2. To assess the top issues highlighted
by our community through public consultation.
3. To provide relevant feedback to the
members of our communities.
4. To maintain the low level of fear of
crime of people walking alone during the day.
Our current neighbourhood priorities are:
1. Anti-social behaviour
2. Youth Activities
3. Speeding
